The situation
Able Group runs a foreign exchange business. It wanted that business on its customers’ phones: rates, transfers and cards.
The hard part
Financial products don’t forgive vague screens. Rates move, a transfer passes through several states, cards have limits, and who may change what is a business rule, not a preference. The app had to make all of that clear on a phone while keeping to the rules behind every transaction.
What we built
We designed and prototyped the customer app in Figma, then built it in React Native on a Node.js and MySQL backend. In it, customers check rates, hold and exchange foreign currency, make transfers, top up and withdraw, and manage their virtual cards and limits.
What changed
Customers make account, card and limit changes in the app, and every change is recorded.
